Hi,

with all that top 5 shareware progs discussion going on, I can only say: GraphicConverter is one of them, and version 5 came out today. You can find alist of the changes at http://www.lemkesoft.com/en/graphversionsueb.htm and download it from http://www.lemkesoft.com/en/graphdownld_en.htm.

This app rocks! Keep up the good work, Lemkesoft.

It is a nice app, but needed desperately a nicer interface. It was very cluttered in v. 4.x.x. Has Lemke addressed this issue at all in v. 5?
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

The menus were thinned out and reorganised in one of the 4.9.x releases, which made it more usable.

GraphicConverter was the first shareware program that I ever paid for, and I am very glad I did. Here it is many years later, and I still get a free upgrade to the latest version.

I guess I'm blessed by a boss that lets me buy graphics applications whenever I want...

I haven't used since 10.2... (before Photoshop)

Is there anything that deals with NeXT / Mac OS X Server .Tiff files correctly? Photoshop throws away the mask, GraphicConverter (even 5) will import the colour page ok but explorts excluding a mask, TiFFany appears RIP...

v5.0 adds an extended Dock menu, which is nice as I didn't see this as one of the newly touted features.

I think asking support@graphicconverter.net describing your problem would be worth a try.

Do they work in Preview (which I would expect, since it's been around since then)? Maybe you could re-export them from there or something if you need to edit them.

Since I moved to OSX I haven't had the need to use GC. Back on the os7-9 days I liked it though. Mostly because Apple didn't have an good/fast image viewing app till later on.
