Hi all,

Just got my first digital camera (Finepix S 5000) and was told by Fuji to use iPhoto to import and manage photos with my OS X.3.2. I primarily want to email photos to friends and family, some of whom are still on dial up modems. My imported photos are defaulting around 1/2 MB when I'd prefer them to be 100-200 KB.

Does anyone know if I can adjust the file size in iPhoto rather than opening each one in Photoshop?

iPhoto has been able to do this for a while. In iPhoto, select the photos you want to email (hold the command button to select non-consecutive photos) and click the 'Email' icon along the bottom of iPhoto's window. A dialog will come up asking you what size you want your photos to be along with an estimated file size. When you find a good size, hit the 'Compose' button in that dialog and iPhoto will launch Mail with your newly re-sized images already attached. In reality it's even simpler than this explanation.

Thanks, I never thought of emailing straight from the app.
