I typed a paper on a mac not knowing the sight I wanted to post could browse through PC systems only and read word type documents.
So I tried to copy paste the text to Microsoft for apple, My computer locked up. And I tried to send the Applewords the file to our PC, and it said the file was unreadable.
please help!

Assuming that you have a reasonably new version of Appleworks, open your file and Do a SAVE AS (under the FILE menu)
Name your new file as whatever.doc
Select the optional format under SAVE AS of Win Word 97,2000.
Your new file will then be readable by an (ugh) PC.

(If your Appleworks is 6 but not version 6.2.8 or 6.2.9, go to the Apple web site and download their free update to get the translation capability.)
