Seriously though, I don't think it's not the sfv file itself that's the video, as noted here. My guess it's a segmented .rar, .ace or .zip archive.

SFV is just like a CUE file, checking all the files are present. Use UnRarX and open the .001 file in it, UnRarX will do the rest.

What do I do
Apparently, "SFV" stands for "Simple File Verification". It's supposed to make sure that all the files are included and aren't corrupt. Try this app.

The .sfv file holds just a checksum.
Rar archives are usually named either .rar, .r00, .r01, .r02 ... or have endings like partXX.rar so this might be something else.
It's also possible that it's just a split avi, mpg or whatever file, in this case do in the terminal: "cat *.0?? > moviename".
