I'm trying to load a font from font book but seem to be having some difficultly. After I see a preview of the font I want, I choose add font from the file menu. A pop up box comes up and I think I need to choose where I want the fonts to load. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I want to be able to use these fonts on Office X and have been choosing my Hardrive as the place for the font to load. (I make sure that I click the box which says allowall users of thiis computer to use the fonts). It then seems that the fonts are loading or that the application is loading. after a few minutes it appears as if everything is finished, but I can't seem to find the fonts in Word or in any other program for tht matter. I've checked appleworks and don't see the fonts. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and would apapreciate any assistance anyone could provide.
(I hope I've clearly explained the steps I've taken so far)
Thanks for any help.

I think you have it wrong. You don't load from Font Book you load to Font Book ( anew font that is. Font Book scans your drive and all fonts in the Three places they can be (Library/Fonts, System/Fonts, or User/Library/Fonts) are "loaded". You can then diable a font or enable a disabled font but you do not need to "load" it for Office to use it .
Make sure the fonts you want to load are in a fonts folder(one of the three) and that it is not disabled in Font Book.

Thanks for the clarification. I have checked the library fonts folder and see the font I want in there but don't see it in any of the programs (word or appleworks). could you please explain how I can find or move this font into the program I'd like to use it with.
Thanks again
