Yeah, I've had this happen too. I don't have hardly as many alarms compared to you and I have no solution.
So, I just turn the "durn" things' off before I HotSync.
Inside your Microsoft Office Folder is another folder called office. Inside there is a program called "Microsoft Office Notifications" run that little Applet and turn off notifications from there.
Let me know if you come up with a better way to cope...
