I have downloaded some public domain movies from the internetarchive.org in mpeg-2 format, plays fine in Quicktime, yet when imported into FCP 4 it always comes in without sound.

Exporting from quicktime into different formats also fails to bring in the sound.

I know it's something to do with muxing but I have little experience with these formats.

Thanks for any help.
