So I am doing this video project for school. And I want to use iphoto but I don't have it and I don't have a dvd drive for ilife. Can anyone send me the iphoto 2 package on aim or through some other sort of means.

My email is nextjester[at]earthlink[dot]net and my aim screen name is mofowildman

thx in advance

A DVD drive is not required for iPhoto. It is only required for iDVD and GarageBand.

iLife comes on both DVD and CD-ROM, so you can install it even if you don't have a DVD drive.

iPhoto 2 should have come with OS X, though.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

My stupid friend gave me the dvd assuming I had a DVD drive, I have since returned it to him ... broken.

Thx Charles , sure enough iphoto 2 was on the second cd of panther. Is iphoto 2 the highest one can get? I checked software update after I installed it and there seems to be no updates for it.

Right, I don't think there were any updates for iPhoto 2. After that, they skipped to iPhoto 4 which only comes with iLife '04 (for which there is a 4.01 update).

WTF? You broke his DVD because you didn't have a DVD-ROM drive to read it?!

I hope you will pay him for a replacement DVD!

iPhoto 2 is *not* the highest you can get. You can get to iPhoto 4 with iLife. It's only $29 with the educational discount, so I suggest you buy it, rather than pirate it from your friend (who is not likely to let you borrow the CD after you broke his DVD anyway!).

LoL, I was just joking about breaking his DVD, he would have freaked and gone into some sort of shock. Plus even if it did work out (the dvd) I would have been "evaluating" it anyways for a short period of time ...
