If you are behind a router or are on a NAT'ed network of any kind.
There is a big bug in the new iChat that will not let you video or audio chat if you are on a NAT'ed network. Even if your machine is in the DMZ for your router or if you are forwarding the needed ports it will still not work. There are a ton of people having this issue on the Apple discussions board.

I hope Apple releases a patch ASAP because there are allot of unhappy iChat and iSight users right now.

Well and sometimes when you type letters, there are numbers appearing instead ! Or a message that says too much information is transmitted at the same time, recommanding to pause ... strange

iChat AV prior to 2.1 didn't work with my NAT/router anyhow, no matter how hard or what I tried.

So, thanks for the thread, but considering it's already broken, I'll upgrade
