GarageBand Quits or Hangs at start

Has anyone else run into an issue with GarageBand quitting or hanging when you fist start it up. It worked fine since the initial install, now I can't get it to run.
I haven't used GB in awhile, the last time was before the 10.3.3 update I believe. I have searched and found a few people having problems but no answers. I haven't tried reinstalling. I have thrown out the GB preferences and no luck there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I did add an iMIc and a my new Klipsch speakers. GB still worked after doing that. I really think it had something to do with the 10.3.3 update.
I did see that thread on MacJams. No one there had any solutions. I usually search around before posting a question

Steve, mine has stopped working too. The only way to get it to work seems to be to create a new user account and launch it from there. I can't figure out what it is in my current user setup that is making it crash. The darn thing just won't start up! Unexpectedly quits each time with the Apple report option thing.

Shortly after starting this topic my GarageBand starting working again - weird. Some things I tried was to repair permissions, run DiskWarrior, and dump the GB pref file. GB still didn't work after that.
I remember installing a number of programs around this time that required a number of reboots, this is when GarageBand starting working again.
I don't know if it was a bad preference file or something else. I don't know what fixed it. Since then I have upgraded to a bigger hard drive and reinstalled GB and everything is cool so far.

I created a new user account, migrated all my files over including preferences, and GB works fine now. That was my solution. *shrug*
