Okay, I have a strange request, but it's in the name of love!

Just for today and tomorrow, an important piece of information is going to be in a friend's away message, and I don't want to miss it. Is there any way that I can write some sort of script that will record all of her away messages?

You'll laugh.... but my sanity and perhaps my future depend on this....

Assuming this is AIM (I haven't played with other protocols), you could do this with Adium, the latest builds log when someone changes their status, and will display their away message as:

xxxx went away (04:35:49)
Away Message: "away" (04:35:49)
Inside of the logs. I think you may need to have a chat going with them already.
