Just got a strange email today.

I originally sent an email to an online vendor (company) requesting availability and a shipping price on one of their items.

A salesperson contacted me via email asking me for some additional info so he could help with the shipping charge.

I replied.

Received a robot reply from digiportal. I was to again state my name, leave a short message about my inquiry and then type in a supplied security number. This done in the effort to cut down on junk mail to this salesperson.

Hello. He sent me the email. I replied to him. If this is what cutting down on spam means, I may never reply to emails at all that come like this. (My short message in the reply was not nice.)
