Please help me I haven't found anything that can sucessfuly play an avi file on my mac. What is the best program to use out there that will let me view an avi file?

Anyone else think this kind of information should become a sticky? I see the same question about AVI's asked every other day (there is a search, but that's not always perfect).

I think we should have a RULES OF MAC
#1 Google will answer 90% of your questions in the first five lines.
#2 Check VersionTracker and MacUpdate before posting.
#3 If QuickTime doesn't play it, VLC probably will.
That being said, I realize some people want a fast answer, and don't want to download some crap player when everyone else is using a MUCH better application.
