Ok, yes, I've waited until the last minute. But I'm doing my taxes now, and after installing TurboTax on my 10.3.3 machine and trying to run, I got an error message about fonts. I check the web site and learn that since I installed the program as an administrator (like I install all my software) I have to RUN it as an administrator. Which I don't particularly like, but it's too late to do anything about it.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone else care, or is it just me?

Since most people do their taxes only once a year, I don't see any big deal with running the program as the administrator. TurboTax won't do much more than save its own files (and e-file if you want), and it's not like the program is from "Bob's Software and Stormdoor Co.," so it should be well-behaved and not do anything bad while running for the administrator.

My bottom line would be that you can either remove the program and reinstall it as a regular user, or just go ahead and run it as the admin.

All you have to do to get TurboTax to work with all users is to move the "All TurboTax Fonts" file from the Fonts folder of the account you installed it with to /Library/Fonts. There installer stupidly puts the font in ~/Library/Fonts instead of /Library/Fonts.

I realize this is too late for this year, but for next year, you may want to just look at the web version. I've been using since 99, and it works great.
