I'd like to set up a Direct Connect (DC++) hub with my computer and cable internet connection. Do any of you know how to do this?

1. download the hub software from neo-modus
2. run it

I had one set up for a while. Don't remember all the details, but it was almost that simple.

And you mean to ask about setting up a direct connect hub. DC++ is just the specific name of one of the many direct connect clients.

Thanks for the help. I'll go to that site and report back.

Edit: There doesn't seem to be a Mac client there for hosting a hub. Any other suggestions?

There is. I downloaded it from them, but don't recall exactly where on their site.

It's been a long time since I've used it. I'd say to search their news archives because that's where the link is. They had 2 versions of the hub software. The terminal based one is the older of the 2, I must have picked the wrong one out of the news. The newer version is a "regular" OSX app, but you need to look for it - I'm not on my mac.
