Windows/XP, AIM 5.5
iBook 500 MHz, iChat 2.1, OSX 10.3.3, internal microphone, no camera.


We're unable to start an audio talk session between my iBook and the XP buddy.. The phone in my buddy list is not activated for the XP user and the Windows/XP AIM user receives the message: USER is not accepting Talk invitations or does not support the Talk feature.

I've established Mac to Mac Audio links and the text link to the XP buddy works fine..

Any idea what we're doing wrong?

I believe iChat only supports video with audio for now to Windows, and not just audio alone.

Whats really funny is that using Virtual PC 6.0.2 (yeah i don't want to install the Microsoft update... I think its .2 or maybe its .1), and that did voice only chat... But it did do it very badly. Like very slow... yeah it wasn't that good.

It worked sorta but VPC was having a cry.

So do you have to do video+voice to do it?

Is there any other program that let you do Voice chat with Windows-Mac?
