I am heading back to school in England tomorrow, and the network there has all ports except 80 blocked. Being that I am abroad, I cannot keep up to date with my favorite shows, so I would like to download them and watch them on my computer if I can. I also would like to have a way to transfer files between my home PC and iMac and my computer (PowerBook) in London.

I am not exactly sure what I am looking for, which is why I am posting this message. Can VNC or SSH do anything for me? Basically, I would like to control one of the computers here, download a couple things, then transfer them over to my computer. I do not know much about Unix, though I am quite competent with computers and it probably would not take a long time for me to figure it out with good instructions.

Any help you give me would be very much appreciated...

Thanks!

Justin
