Ok, I've been experimenting with different browsers off and on since I got 10.3 last year. Just a couple of things to state about them and some questions afterwards.

Safari: A great browser in general. Fast loading on almost all webpages and a very clean interface. However, text size on some pages causes display problems (ie: the text is larger and screws up the layout on Safari unlike other browsers). Also, there is no cookie management. I can't select the cookies individually as to if I wish to accept them or not. Finally comes cache management. This is a lot better with the release of 1.2.1 but still causes issues when surfing message boards etc... I've tried using Safari Enhancer but for some reason it's incompatible with my Custom CSS that I use to delete most ads on the net. Every time I try to disable the cache the CSS is not able to be used, every time I enable the CSS the cache acts up again.

Firefox: From what I understand it's a great browser, but I never can get a tool bar in it. I've d/l'd it two or three times and yet when it comes up in a window there are no navigation tools nor a URL bar. When I try to customize it the back and forward buttons dissapear and I can't access them. Anyone know a solution to this so that I could actually try the thing?

Mozilla: Overall this is the browser that I use the most. Even though it's rather bloated as far as having a full selection of websuite apps (like the mail client, IRC, and Composer) that I don't use, it has good cache/cookie management. The speed however isn't that great and on some pages it refuses to load images for some odd reason. I've put in some add ons as well as dropping in my own CSS but it is still more than I need with the extra features.

What do you all have as an opinion as far as what to do about Firefox/an internet browser in general? My big thing is ad blocking/pop-up blocking and cookie management. Got any opinions?
Mac OSX is like Windows XP... only good.

Camino and Omniweb 5 beta are nice (don't get Camino 0.7, get a nightly build of it. They're usually much better, although occasionally kinda weird). Not sure why Firefox is being weird. Try the forums at mozillazine.org

ditto.

Check out OmniWeb 5 (My browser of choice) (beta 5 is current, beta 6 expected in the next week and a half)

And check out a nightly of Camino - all the goodness of a gecko rendering engine with a cocoa front-end.

Agree- Itīs defenetly worth a look! Itīs fast! Perhaps the fastest browser right now for the mac. Itīs just takes a while to get the panels and toolbars right!

Try trashing the profile folder. It's located at ~/Library/Firefox. Also, make sure you're using a recent nightly.
