We have run Tech Tool Pro on one of our internal ATA drives.

The results are that the threshold has been exceeded. What action should we now take?
Would re-formating clear this problem?

Any help most welcome as we depend on this drive being trouble free.

Thanks

dan

Do you know what threshhold it's referring to? You can set up some systems to report when a drive has X% space left or when it reaches a certain temperature. I've not heard of SMART reporting back on metrics like the age of the drive or number of revolutions.

SMART reports back based on a huge number of variables, quite accurate actually. If SMART tells you to change the HDD, do so, fast !
