I'm having problems with the fonts that I loaded into my Library>fonts folder on my new Imac. I posted the other day and was recommended to use Fontbook. I've noticed that it does not seem as good of a program as suitcase (even though suitcase can still be a pain).

1. i'm confused about how to organize my fonts in folders like i've been doing in suitcase. it seems that when i make a new folder it just copies the ones from my user folder rather than dragging them into the new folder. so even when i disable a folder it's still active in my user folder. the reason i want to do this is to be able to activate certain folders specifically.
2. i'm wondering if i should just give up on fontbook and use suitcase. does anyone have any recommendations for me?
3. also i'm noticing when i open a design program (illustrator or indesign) it seems to always call for suitcase and give me a message to open suitcase. it's almost as though fontbook does not respond to these programs

Thanks everyone for the help. I appreciate the feedback, these fonts have given me such a headache.
