Downloaded iTunes 4.5 and noticed when going to Help/What's New the info there is still for 4.2. Did I miss something?

Apparently. Mine shows the 4.5 "What's New" page.

Bad installation, maybe?

Find this folder:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui/

Trash it.
