Wish it looked like this everywhere else in iTunes:

Come on guys! How many times do I have to remind you of the image guidelines? Maximum 480 wide, 720 tall. Please review and obey the guidelines, visible in ANY forum. -- tooki

I agree. That's a very nice visual feature. But you have to understand that it's not ordinary highlighting. In iTunes you can highlight any song or group of songs, whether they are playing or not. In the Party Shuffle playlist, that special highlight has one purpose--to identify the currently playing track.

Ugh, that highlighting is too 10.1ish... Too much aqua and use of shadows. Kinda ugly if you ask me...

I feel the same way. iTunes is so sleek and flat everywhere and then there's this bar with a huge shadow. It looks like it's supposed to be a foot above the tune list but there's no shadow on the divider or border. It looks out of place.

Yes! Another thread about iTunes 4.5! We didn't have enough, but now I think we might be getting there.

I, too, feel that it is a monstrosity...

Totally out of place.

Steve's been in the vanilla bottle again, hasn't he? Yikes!

Looks like it's time for them to update those UI Guidelines *again*. *SIGH* I hope this isn't a hint of where 10.4 is going. Yikes.

I agree that the shadow it way too large. I think no shadow is needed at all. Not sure what Steve was thinking here.

I'm also not sure about what this thing is supposed to be for. The currently playing sound is marked with the speaker icon, so what additionally does this thing tell us?
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.
