Good luck... the Mods here are great... they keep the crazies down to a minimum and eventually they give up after being banned enough times.

I feel MacNN does a great job and usually never have any major questions that can't be answered if asked properly.

No need to post, that assumption can be made through your post count.

I go to treocentral.com

But that's because... no one really talks about the Treo at length here.

I also read Fark but in the past three years, cliches are abused and trolls roam that land. I only visit once a day or so. I don't think 99% of the people there know where the /(close tag) even came from or even use it correctly.

Try AppleInsider for sometimes interesting speculation and rumour.

Get Unison or any other news reader app (or go to groups.google.com), and go to the comp.sys.mac groups

www.neowin.net is probably the most popular

www.hardwaregeeks.com sucks, but you might like it

www.arstechnica.com already mentioned but many knowledgeable people there

www.ntfs.org predominately windows, but whatever

www.advancedpc.org just another windows forum

www.funmac.com some specific mac forums

www.ipodlounge.com if you have an ipod, the place to be

www.designtechnika.com my favorite one, but more geared towards graphic design and less computer geek stuff.

Out of all of these, Neowin is pretty damn popular. I know they have a HUGE rating on bigboards.com.

I'm a MacNN guy, though I have accounts on nearly all of the boards around.
  • http://www.appleinsider.com has quite a userbase and lots of posts in their forum.
  • http://www.macosx.com/forums/ has a decent sized board.
  • http://discussions.info.apple.com/ The official stuff. Please, if you're a loser don't post here... the quality of people that hang out here are much higher than any other board I've seen.
Having said all that... all I ever vist is MacNN...

Once, long long ago, I would go to www.macaddict.com and www.macworld.com and a good handful of others, but I found myself constantly arguing with people that didn't have a clue.

such arguments

"Spot Colors ARE in RGB"
"I'm a programmer for Apple, but don't know what Cocoa is"
"I'm a designer, but don't know what Quark is"
"Microsoft owns Apple"
"My Dell can..."
"Apple is dying"
"My Mommy buy me MACINTOSH, but it broken... Where da' "START" button"
"My 7 year old Performa died... that it, I'm switching to an eMachine!"

At least in this forum, it's not ALWAYS user error.
