Hi, I've just started playing with gpg and have generated my own keys. Now I'm trying to import someone elses. I have found their key on a keyserver, made a txt file of it and imported it to gpgkeys. It says the import was successful, but it doesn't show up in the list of keys.

Any ideas?

Also, I've tried both to upload my key to a keyserver and search on a keyserver but keep getting the error,

gpg: no keyserver known (use option --keyserver)
gpg: keyserver send failed: bad URI

I've tried a variety of keyservers in gpg preferences but not managed to get it to accept any.

Can you suggest where to go from here.

Thanks,

J.
