Are there and garage band updates or any loops/samples/intstruments you can install?
If so, where and how do you install them?

check over at MacJams in the resource library...there are some links to free loops there....

Apple format loops can just be dragged over to the loop browser and they'll be indexed. With other formats you'll need to do some more work.
I do not like those green links and spam.
