I'm not sure if you've ever heard of the winamp plugin Milkdrop, but its been around in the PC world for a long time. It is a music visualization program that utilizes the 3d hardware. Anyway, finally someone has made an easy-to-port version of Milkdrop dubbed "projectM." It is currently only available for Linux, but the authors assure that it can easily be ported to osx. 1. It's a bit much to expect a reply within two hours.
2. I'm not sure that many (any?) Mac users use XMMS since iTunes and QuickTime Player come with the system. So porting this seems kind of pointless to me.
