I have just installed the first version of the Microsoft Office X.v It works and I really don't notice any glaring problems (expect for some sluggishness). I wonder if anyone could tell me if any of the updates (SR1 etc) "speed up " office. I really dont want to update if they dont since it works well for me now.

Yes, I recommend the updates...if I recall correctly, the 10.1.5 update tremendously helped Word/Excel/PowerPoint launch...

Do the updates. Before I did them Office would crash all the time. Now the program is more stable and it seems to be faster also.

Yep, I also think there was a few rather major "under the hood" changes.

I would do it in a second...
