Interested to hear about whether its a good idea to install the latest build app or whether simply to install the latest version ?

I ask this in the light of my recent surfing;

Why does the program take so long to load, Safari's load speed seems to have become an almost spontaneous event ?

Why do some very simple sites like 'spymac' and 'applelinks' in particular take inordinate lengths of time to load ?

Especially in the light of other more complex sites like

The recent nightlies are very broken. Stick with the 0.8 point release for now, unless you can get someone to recommend a non-broken nightly. I'd recommend one, but I forgot which was the last good one.

Firefox launching time has never been better than Safari's, and I don't think it ever will be. Its speed is in rendering, especially over a slow connection (at least in my experience).

You can keep tabs on the nightly build progress at the Burning Edge.

Wait a bit 0.9 , should be availabe soon. I don't use it myself, but mozilla's trunk is quite in a bad shape these days, so it might be the problem you are experiencing (I don't think firefox is built from a branch).
