i've had a nice friendly Golive 6 installation for a year or more and it ran pretty well under OS X. i thought i'd give the CS version a try but i don't like how they handle color and whatnot, so i tossed it.

this may not have been my smartest chain of events.

i can no longer launch Golive 6 in X, but i can use it in classic. i re-installed it and wiped all the preference files that i know of. has anyone else seen this happen?

could i be missing a weird cache or something somewhere?

Do a Get Info on the application, and make sure the checkbox to always open in Classic is NOT checked.

yeah, i tried that one - i resorted to checking it so it would open at all. regular launches in X (10.3.3) result in a crash on launch.

I'm stuck, then, too. I would have suggested a reinstall next. You could always delete or archive the OS 9 system folder.

Is it possible that when you reinstalled GoLive 6, you installed an OS 9 specific version?

i don't think so - there wasn't any option for that. (and golive 6 wanted to open in X by default.)
