After installing Adobe's GoLive, whenever I click on a link for streaming media (for instance a .ram file), GoLive opens instead of RealOne Player. The actual .ram file that downloads to my desktop has the icon of GoLive instead of RealOne Player. The file will not play in GoLive, the application opens and that's it. If I manually drag and drop the downloaded .ram file on my RealOne application, RealOne Player opens and it plays fine.

In the RealOne preferences, I have made sure that the media types are selected, but that hasn't corrected the problem.

Short of getting rid of GoLive, does anyone have any other suggestions of how I could alleviate this problem? Thanks

When you get info on a .ram file what is the default open with set to?

Maybe if you set this correctly it might solve your problems (though I am not sure about links). Also make sure you select the always open with open as well, or you will only change that file.

As I said not sure if this would fix the streaming issue but you can only try!

yeah, just Get Info and use Change All to specify RealPlayer.

it's really annoying of GoLive to do this.
