I don't know if this is due to a recent update or what, when I try to go to a page, no matter how I get there ie link, bookmark, even my start page, I get a "Safari cannot connect to server or some such thing and then I click the link or hit return again or whatever and it goes to the page, this is happening a lot and is really getting annoying.

yes, I get that a bit, but I always assumed it was my airport reception. It only happens when I have 2 bars or less on my reception. Are you on dialup/broadband or airport out of interest?
