I have a CD that skips. Can I rip it into iTunes and repair it with a utility? Does anybody have experience dealing with skipping CDs by means of a computer?

Try to make a copy but, not with iTunes. Use Disk Utility or Toast.

Don't have Toast, and Disk Utility did not succeed.
Of course, the song I want (and which is scratched) isn't available on iTMS or I would have bought it already.

After extensively buffing the CD with mild abrasive, I was able to get it to work, thank God.
Thanks for tip!
