When I started up iPhoto 4.1 yesterday I froze in front of my cube, as iPhoto refused to load my picture library. All I got was a white screen and the "Loading Photos" message along with that spinning wheel. Nothing would happen after hours of waiting. I repaired permissions and even ran disk utility... to no effect. Everything worked fine three days earlier and the only two apps I had installed within that time were Office 2004 test drive and Unsanity's "Paranoid Android" fix.

Uninstalling these apps didn't help either.

Maybe it is an iPhoto bug?

Does anyone else have a suggestion apart from erasing the library file and reimporting?

Please help!

Try deleting your thumbnails:

Thumb32.data
Thumb64.data
ThumbJPG.data

They will be recreated when you next start iPhoto.
