What are some e-mail services that I can use which are compatible with Mail. I have been using macmail.com but the service is awful. Hotmail is full of junk mail and I do not feel like spending $100 for mac.com Thanks

Any services that use POP3 or IMAP protocols will work with Mail. I prefer IMAP. I use www.fastmail.fm. Not very well known, but I've had virtually no problems with it for almost 2 years now, very reliable and free. No ads on their website, just taglines in the emails. You just have to specify "IMAP Path Prefix" to "inbox" in the advanced tab of your email account in Mail.

FastMail.FM. is definitely worth a look!

It offers free accounts as well as variously priced levels of service, depending on your needs. Disk storage, spam filtering, virus checking, SSL, etc. are all available. It works seamlessly with Mail.app, and their webmail interface is fast, flexible, and loaded with features of its own. Support is excellent.

My only connection to FastMail is being a well-served customer.
