does anybody have suggestions on the "optimal" settings to use for this tab for downloads? Also, I'm not quite sure what the difference is for the two items I've noted on the picture. The two seem redundant. What's the difference between "default number of upload slots per torrent" and "max number of connections per torrent?"

I skimmed the User Guide but it didn't shed light on it...or maybe I read it too fast. Anybody can clarify?
Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

not sure I just mess with max upload speed.

I had alot of problems with this version and I was not alone.

Me:
While the new version brings about new features and other bug fixes it has two doozies in store for us mac users. Thankfully both the problems seem to be limited to dual CPU systems the first freezes the system while the second will straight up causes Kernal Panics. Both these problems seem to happen at random intervals ranging from 5 minutes to a few hours into operation. The Azureus developers seem to be well aware of the problem and have attempted a few fixes that sadly do not seem to have fixed the problem. So if you are a dual CPU mac owning user of Azureus I recommend to keep using 2.0.8.4 and NOT UPGRADE TO 2.1.0.0 until the above bugs are fixed.

yep, 2.1 is both more unstable AND downloads a lot slower than previous versions, for me.

I checked the configuration and everything is the same as before, regarding bandwidth preferences. No idea what is wrong - previously I would max out my connection at about 120kb/s download, but now I hit a peak at around 60-70kb/s.

And yeah, it "unexpectedly quits" a lot now. The previous release NEVER crashed for me, not once. It usually happens just after it allocates the space on my HD for a new torrent.

I simply reverted back to 2.0.8.4 and wait out the bugs. Never had a single problem with this version so it's not like I'm missing out on anything.
