How do I go about importing WMA files into iTunes and adding them to my library.

With MP3's I just drag and drop the files into a new playlist, and iTunes automatically converts them. This doesn't work for me with WMA's. I thought WMA's were supported.

You don't. iTunes does not support WMA.

Only the PC version of iTunes supports wma.

The windows version of iTunes will convert the WMA to MP3 or AAC which iTunes supports. I'm sure there is a way to convert WMA on a Mac, but don't know what it is.
