OK, I've searched but am unable to find a solution. I am trying to sync (via isync) my palm with ical. I installed the conduit, disabled hot sync and added my palm to isync, all as instructed. Then ... nothing. I hit the button to sync my visor (using Palm 4.1) and it is unable to establish a connection with the computer. I have it hooked via cradle and USB port.
Anyone else been successful at doing this? I have done the steps in the "help" sections, but am still not able to connect. I searched the forums, too, but don't exactly see the same situation here.
Thanks.

Your title should be "can't sync at all" from what it sounds like. Have you ever been able to sync your palm?

Oh it syncs just fine. That's when I'm syncing via the hot sync manager. It's when i disable that sync feature and try to turn on the isync syncing feature that I'm unable to sinc to my desktop. I'm just wondering if others have problems or if I'm missing a step somewhere.

It sounds like you're trying to sync using isync alone. After you've enabled iSync in Hot Sync Manager, just sync your Palm like you usually do. After a few seconds, iSync will launch and sync your palm with iCal/Addressbook, then continuing syncing the rest of your stuff.

I think you've misunderstood how to use the iSync conduit. All it does it disable the conduits for your addressbook/datebook and todo list. It goes through the hotsync manager. Don't do any manual disabling of anything. The iSync conduit will do what it needs to do in order to work. Just double-click on the iSync conduit in the Conduit settings of hotsync manager and check the sync this device or whatever it is.

After a little more investigation, i may have the answer.
I checked the supported devices again -- and I have a Visor handheld, just a plain old Visor, an "edge" or "platinum" or "pro." So I suspect it can't be used. Very frustrating...

My original Visor works just fine with Palm Desktop 4.0 and iSync 1.4.
