Well, well, well. I may have finally found out who's been perpetuating this stupid rumor that BootCD copies the entire OS onto a RAM disk, and that this is why it boots slowly. It got brought up in this thread by the tech guy that represents MicroMat, of all people.

you should pm him or something, to make sure he stops spreading false information. Because of his position, people are more likely to take what he says as fact.

PM seems to be disabled on MacFixIt. Ah, I remember fondly the days when MFI didn't suck. However, they are far behind us...
