Considering AirPort Express requires iTunes 4.6 (from the bottom of this page http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/ )

this looks VERY interesting...

Yep, I've heard it'll be out today and/or by the end of the week...

My question is that will this upgrade be necessary if you don't have Airport Express?

If iTunes 4.5 works well for you now, why would it be?

And release-time wise - if you order an Airport Express right now, it's not expected to ship until mid-July (so they conceivably could delay iTunes 4.6 as well)

I'll upgrade anyways as 4.6 might have some features that the iTunes Euro store requires.

Airport Express isn't out till July, so you may have a wait for iTunes 4.6.

AirTunes requires the next version of iTunes, iTunes 4.6, which is expected to be available later this week as a free download.

Well, I hope they add more then just AirPort Express and iTunes europe.

I'm wondering if they will play the DRM switch like in the 4.5 upgrade... it keeps the hackers on their toes.

For Windows users, every time there is a newer version of iTunes, a pop up should appear saying "You are using an OLD version of iTunes. If you want to upgrade to a MODERN version of iTunes, click this button. If you want to continue using this antiquated version, click "cancel".

I think the icon will be green from now on... since it is similar to a logo for the iTunes branded Music Store.

It's his hobby. Nobody makes fun of a guy that spends hours tinkering with his stamp collection... why bust him for doing the same basic thing.

Heh I wonder what color will be next.

IIRC,

1 was blue
2 was blue
3 was purple
4 is green

next? Red? Orange?
