I have downloaded and installed Windows Media Player for Mac. Unfortunately, when I try to play movies which I have transferred from the dodgiest $4000 PC Ever (thats another story) which i made in windows movie maker, they will not play. no video, just the sound. anyone else having this problem and what can i do about it? I want to play some of these movies at a presentation from my iBook.

yeah, and I am pretty sure if it doesn't, it will atleast tell you what version of wmv it is.

Do you have the most current version of WMP? It's 9... if it doesn't work, then something is wrong with the sketchy PC.

WiMP for OSX does not play all WMV codecs. There is at least 1 important version that is not playable on OSX using any software (including mplayer and VLC).
