My powerbook came with Panther (10.2) installed, along with plenty of fonts including some truly useless ones (for me) - dozens of various Chinese/Japanese scripts - and few of the ones I do actually use (Devanagari for example).
Getting these fonts installed from the OSX installation DVD proved to be a major headache, but eventually I got it done.
HOWEVER, I can't get Photoshop to recognise them. Which is a bummer as this is the only app I really wanted to use with them. I've tried installing them or copying them to the Library/Apps/Adobe/Fonts folder (working from memory here, anyway the relevant folder for PS), and to any other folder that seems useful. No luck. I've tried reinstalling PS. No luck. I've tried a third party font cache cleaner. No luck. Basically, I'm stuck.
Can anyone advise? For the record, they show up in the Font Book and every app I've tried, except PS.
