I can't get it to work. I've deleted 0.8 on my mac, but now 0.9 just keeps on appearing and dissapearing from my dock. anyone else have this problem? any ideas?

did you download and install the OS X version?
If so, you may have to search your hard drive and user folder for firefox items (folders, plists, etc) and move those to the trash.

Yes, it was an OS X version, but I really didn't think of looking for those items. I'll try that, thanks!

You know there is already a Firefox thread...
Anyway, Firefox 0.8 stuff is located in ~/Library/Firefox, but as of 0.9 it's where it should be in ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox. You might also try getting rid of /Library/Mozilla; I forget if Firefox uses that.

I recently had this problem. Deleting all the firefox elements fixed it.

When I first installed it, the first "launch" took several minutes, and it appeared (just judging by its icon's behavior in the Dock) to quit and relaunch itself several times over the course of that time.
You may want to try waiting for ten minutes or so the first time; it may simply need that long for some ungodly reason. Subsequent launches should be back up to normal speed. Yes, this is one of the growing list of things that sucks about the 0.9 release on Macs.
