not sure if this is the right forum, but...
i've been away, just got back.
yahoo has changed it's email services: 100mb default storage, 10mb for attachments, and... it is ugly ugly ugly.
the buttons (previously default as apple buttons) are now generic grey windows buttons; some dont work (not in safari anyway).
it's an uglier interface overall.
oh well just a little rant.
anyone else have thoughts on this?

As a Gmail beta tester...I can honestly say Yahoo! has nothing in comparison to what Gmail offers...

I second that.
Compare it like that:
Gmail: Mac OS X
Yahoo! Mail: Windows

not crazy about the idea of changing it.

I read it about this today in the Times...so even though I don't use my Yahoo acount anymore, I signed in to check it out.
Man, I only have one word: Fugly. And Gmail is free and still has more space.

It's good to see them trying to keep up.
It's a shame to see the buttons go all ugly,
but then again, so are Gmail's.
In fact, i'd almost say i like Yahoo's better, and i don't like either of them.
But Gmail is so roxor in every other way.
Still, i'm glad to see the competition. A friend explained it this way:
Recently, Yahoo had cut back to 4 mb for a new account.
Previously they had been giving out 6. Why?
Hotmail. Only four.
So think about it like this.
Competition with MS lost you 2 mb if you used Yahoo mail.
Competition with Google gained you 96 mb if you used Yahoo mail.
Hmmm.

I have a yahoo mail account I use on rare occasions. I actually like the new interface, and it works fine in Safari for me. Not that I'm going to start using web mail any time soon.

Did anyone else notice that the fonts in the new mail interface are really small? They probably set them using a typical point size for Windows (rather than pixels).
Edit: The rest of Yahoo is fine, just the new Mail interface is messed up.
