(moderator: should this post belong to software forum, or peripheral forum?)

Can someone tell me what is the experience with printing using GIMP print drivers? Is the print quality good?

I tried GIMP print on a HP DeskJet 850C with GIMP print driver, and the output quality is not that good, with colour way too heavy in saturation (I tried to reduce the saturation, but it seems it doesn't work).

Is my experience typical of GIMP print?

I've only used GIMP print with one printer once, and it was pretty crappy. I quickly installed the official driver (it was an Epson printer) and never looked back.
