Now I use Retrospect, but it can’t do the job .... (it can but in one file, so you have to retrieve the file, you can't find it with your "finder")
I want a backup-software that can backup for example a folder (or hd) to an other folder (or hd) and keeps the older version!!!
I mean: when you have a quarkfile modified on monday, he backups the quarkfile, I modify the quarkfile and he backups the quarkfile a second time .... not overwrite!
like:
028977 document 01.qxd
028977 document 01.qxd.01
or something like that .... any ideas

Look into rsync, and rsync_hfs (what is behind RsyncX), and then look at rsyncbackup... this can do what you ask.

I am working on re-writing a version of rsyncbackup to clean up a few problems, and extend it a bit for my own purposes (named disks for example).
