how do i add sound effects in iMovie? i want to add more next to the current skywalker sounds and the standard sounds.

i couldnt drag aiff or mp3 files i there.

i can't even find where iMovie stores those sound files.

any ideas?

I remember a simular problem. I imported all my SFX to iTunes, then placed them in a playlist. In iMovie I it the audio button, found my playlist and then dtragged and dropped. Hope that helps.

yeah i figured i could do that. but it would have just been easier and more simple to add it into iMovie.

it seems very odd that such a simple program has no way of adding sound effects to its current collection.

if anyone knows anything, please let us know. thanks.

Get your hands on AVID DV FREE http://www.avid.com/freedv/index.asp?pageElement=flyout its a bit diffrent, but I think it works a bit better than iMovie. There are also some tutorials on how to use it there.
