Hi, this morning I was suprised by one of my friends popping up an ichat message when they weren't shown as available in my ichat buddy list. It seems they were using trillian as they're chat client.

Is there a way for ichat to show an aol/im user as available if they're using trillian as there client. otherwise I'll never know if this person is on line or not.

Thanks,

J.

First of all, their != they're != there.

Second, I've had lots of problems with people using old versions of AIM not being able to see me in their buddy lists. I think the problem has something to do with the fact that my AIM username is my email address (it's a special .Mac ability). Ask the person if he or she is running the newest version of Trillian.

Maybe she had it set to away? I am able to use iChat just fine when it is set to Away, send messages to people, etc. Away just means that I don't want to answer calls from random people at the moment.
