Dirty weasels finally got around the Safari ad blocker. My Google ad blocker on my PC stopped working effectively weeks ago, but Safari kept going strong. My Mac maintained yet another big plus over my Windows box. No longer.

One ad was from Red Lobster. Another to add to my "do not patronize" list.

P.S. WashingtonPost.com was one offender, DrudgeReport.com was the other. Bummer.

Sorry for the mispost, please move to the Software forum. Thanks.

I've gotten a few in Safari...none in a while. What I really hate are the Flash ads that cover the page.

What's new are fake pop up windows as layers. I don't think there's a way to avoid them.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

There is a way...don't surf those sites.

Sites that have these kind of ads don't deserve hit counts.
