is there a nice and easy way to trim mp3 files? some fo my songs have gaps in the beginning. also is there a way to join two mp3 files??

You can change the start and stop times within iTunes by opening the Get Info dialog box (under the File menu) and clicking on the Options tab. When you adjust these settings, you won't actually cut off the beginning or end of the song, rather, you're simply telling iTunes to ignore the rest of the file. To permanently extract this space, you can open the file in QuickTime Player Pro.

I'd just suggest redownloading. It's the easiest way, you can get better quality, and fix any sync errors in the file.
