I don't find that there's been a post of reactions to those who've *bit* on Adobe's "InDesign CS for Pagemaker (Mac)". The discussions on VT seem vague and ?maybe? suggest that what you get is ?not? a full edition of InDesign CS. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm dying to stop having to start up Classic every once in a while to reclaim some old PageMaker document -- plus I'm occasionally having to do some page layout and sure don't find Word much fun. Anybody else got review comments on InDesign (assuming that this upgrade *will* give me full capability to use InDesign). Thanks

I don't see what the problem is with PM 7.0... no big deal to run under Classic unless you're *really* under-RAMmed. I still use it all the time. Snappy enough on a PowerMac 450

:bump:

Isn't there *anyone* here using page-layout software since the old PageMaker days?

Personally, I didn't use PageMaker that much, and when I did it was quite a while ago. InDesign, though, is a great program in my opinion. It's managed to do a lot of innovative stuff while Quark has been busy just trying to get their software to work correctly. InDesign is definitely my choice for page layout software.

Also, from what I can tell, InDesign CS for PageMaker is InDesign packaged with some plugins that give it some PageMaker features. See this page for details.
